Penélope Cruz's performance in Nine made me watch this movie (okok, i know it's a bit late). her performance in Vicky Cristina Barcelona is way much better than in Nine. the movie expresses the idea of freedom of love, which i don't agree but i respect. so if you are vicky, would you dare to get a divorce and start a new live in Barcelona?

File Recovery Software (Free)

After deploying the new anti-virus software in our company, users have been complaining about their deteriorated computer performance. I intended to make one of the colleagues computer to load faster, but I just accidentally deleted some of the files yesterday. I was freaking out and this software just saved my ass.

This is a free of charge file recovery software that i found on the internet. I did try to use other file recovery tools but most of them require me to PAY after scanning the harddisk. This is really frustrating when you have spent loads of time in scanning the files and turnout it asks you to pay! WTF!!!

This is a software which lets you explore the universe, travel to stars and galaxies. I guess it is more informational than google earth and run the demo after you have installed the program.

just go to the official homepage of Celestia and download the software. it is really amazing. a portable version of Celestia is also available here. but please make sure your computer is fast enough to run the software. i also recommend you to update your graphic card driver before running the program.

Monopoly City Streets!! Launching today!

last friday, i was playing Monopoly City at my friend's home. fortunately, i was late to join them, they used almost an hour in explaining the rules of the game. today, just knew that there is a game named Monopoly City Streets is going to launch! i bet all your girlfriends will no longer spend time in restaurant city/pet societ/happy farm/friends for sale! It is launching today, stay tuned!

just a little bit about the game. it is a combination of monopoly and google map where you can buy streets and build your own buildings. you are given $3M to start off buying properties anywhere in the world. moreover, google is also holding a competition to let users design their buildings using google sketchup! let's buy the whole nathan road tonight!

Re-enable your USB port in Office

Just knew that our big boss decided to disable all the usb ports in office. damn it. the worse thing is....gmail, hotmail, ymail...........are all BLOCKED!!!!!

a simply workaround to re-enable your usb port is to buy a PS2 to USB converter!

just did a test.....it doesn't work.

since the ps2 to usb converter only converts keyboard and mouse signals, so plugging a usb flash drive into the converter has no effect. it is not possible to act as a usb port.

How to share files and printers at home?

This is my first post on the Internet! haha! a little bit excited in posting it. let's get straight to the point.

Many of you should have more than 1 computer at home and you may want to share files, music and printers with other computers. Here is a step by step tutorial in helping you to share resources among your computers.

A. What do you need?

• a router or a modem with routing function
• 2 or more computers (with windows xp)
  

B. Creating a Workgroup

• right click My Computer > select Properties > go to Computer Name > click Change
  
• give a name to your computer
• select Workgroup and give a name to it
• 
• repeat the above steps for other computers by giving them different computer names but the same Workgroup name

C. Share a folder

• now right click the folder or printer you wish to share with other computers and select Properties > select Sharing
• give the folder a Share name then click Apply
• 

D. Go to the share folder from another computer

• click Start and select Run
• type the following into the box: \\computername\sharefolder
  
• 
• click OK
  

E. Drag and Drop

• by now, you should be able to see the contents of the share folder from another computer
• just drag and drop to download those files!
  

F. Tips

• doing the above at home is easy but you may encounter some errors when working with the above steps, the followings may be blocking you from sharing, check them out.
• check your Windows Firewall settings
  
• open My Computer > select Tools > Folder Options > Views > uncheck Use simple file sharing
